The PCCI/EnSafe Joint Venture, recently was awarded three Department of Defense contracts involving spill prevention, response, and training services with an estimated value of $6 million.The three contracts include:▪ A five?year contract to provide emergency response plans, manuals, and other environmental documents to the Defense Energy Support Center (DESC). This work will involve developing oil spill prevention and response plans, hazardous waste management plans, storage tank management plans, environmental assessments, permit applications, storm water management plans, and operations manuals at DESC facilities worldwide. ▪ A five?year contract to provide oil spill response training to DESC at its facilities worldwide. This work will involve providing oil spill training tailored to the needs of onshore storage and distribution facilities, marine piers, and cross-country pipelines. ▪ A three-year contract with Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, to provide engineering services for the Navy’s spill prevention response and underground storage tank (UST) compliance/remediation programs within the SOUTHDIV area of responsibility.PCCI and EnSafe have worked together on U.S. Navy projects related to spill response planning and spill drills and exercises since 1990, including projects at Government facilities under the cognizance of Southern Division, Atlantic Division, DESC, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
