PCCI has been awarded a contract to Assess Design and Inspection Criteria and Standards for Wave and Current Energy Generating Devices.  This research effort is sponsored by the Minerals Management Service through the Technology Assessment and Research Program, Office of Offshore Regulatory Programs.  The Energy Policy Act of 2005 gave MMS the authority to regulate alternate energy projects and the alternative use of existing oil and gas facilities on the outer continental shelf.
